Success at the World of Warcraft Regionals

What a day that was, eleven of us packed into two cars all the way down to Milton Keyenes for the World of Warcraft card regional qualifying tournaments. The full crew was Jason, Dan, Nick, Ben, Charlotte, Gareth, Adam, Me, Joe, Burnsy and Owen…. Milton Keyenes had reason to fear!!!

Preparation had begun the week before with much tweaking of decks and hard planning to do. By the time of the great day we had a plan - turn up, go to MK, find some fast food, play some games, find some more fast food, come home. It went pretty much without a hitch.

The tournament itself was held in a small community hall and there were 27 entrants in total which ment that we made up more than 1/3 of the total. To be fair, it all went pretty much as expected except for Adam (Puky) who had a nightmare of a session and needs to rethink his strategy. Jason came 3rd and Dan came 9th which was good enough for them both to get a place at the Nationals in September. Well done guys we will be there to support you.

I think that we all learnt a LOT about our decks and there will be more tweaking going on - or is that major re-thinking, well it doesn’t matter as we all had a good time and I for one can’t wait for the next one. In fact I am considering trading my car in for a mini-bus just so that we have the space for all of us in more comfort.
