George and Stu do the business

The dynamic duo of Stu and George G-B decided to take on the Old Geezer at Flames of War just to see what it it was like. They faced off with the contenders playing German Panzer Truppen and Geezer as American Treadheads.
George charged straight into the objective with an at the double move and claimed the prize however he paid the price when one of his Pzr IV’s brewed up in short order. Stu took his time however and stayed outside the effective range of the Shermans and took pot shots getting rid of three of them.
In the end it was a one on one Sherman to Pzr IV with the Pzr winning out in the end.
In round 2 Stu had to leave and we decided to go foot slogging with the infantry. So Lt George G-B (Hurrah) set up a British Rifle platoon against a German Grenadier Platoon commanded by Oberst Alt Geezer.
This time George was a lot more cautious and made good use of some cover to get some well aimed shots off at the Krauts who got themsleves promptly pinned down. Having failed their motivation test the Geezer had little he could do but watch as withering fire destroyed his platoon.
